Work in Progress

The challenge was to create a card with a winged image and pop up the wings. This is what I came up with. (on left) I used the level A hostess set from the Serendipity Magalogue, called Swirled Spring Life.

Then I thought the bee's body needed more height and interest, so I added fun flock on another stamped image, cut it out and put it on a slightly thinner pop dot. (on right)

Then I used a retired stamp in the blank space on the left and added sparkle with a stardust gelly pen on the wings.

Lately I've been adding patterned paper to the inside of my cards. This time I only glued the right side inside, folded it closed, trimmed the edge so the inside print shows, and stamped the sentiment and little bee(another retired set).

Then, I stamped the rest of the sentiment and little bee again on a piece of white, trimmed the edge and glued it to the inside on the patterned paper. Then, of course, I used the stardust pen again to add some sparkle to the little bee's wings on both images.

This made a great "thinking of you" card for a friend.
