And I have begun stamping my cards. I know I should pick one design and then "mass produce," but I can't seem to make the same card twice. I have made 5 cards now-these are the first two-and none are the same. The stamp set is very versatile. Check it out: Homespun Holiday.

Wow, I can't believe it has been months since I last posted here.

My sister Angela sent me the card on the left for Thanksgiving. That inspired me to make the next two cards. I have not done much with punches before. The pumpkins are made with 5 oval punches. Then Burnt Umber is sponged on top. the leaves are buttons I have had forever.

Here's a card I made today. I found this stamped image when cleaning my stamp area. It is a retired TAC stamp. I colored it with watercolor crayons and the VersaMarker, then embossed it with clear powder. I used a sheet of cardstock that is white on one side for the card base. I used the Scorpal to add three vertical lines about an inch from the fold and tore the right edge. The white splash is opaque white Stazon applied with a sponge. I used Palette violet to stamp the sentiment and sponge the torn edge. After putting in the three eyelets, I covered the inside with printed paper to hide the back of the eyelets and added a 1 inch piece down the right edge, leaving room to write a note.

Here's a sympathy card for a male friend I made today. The picture was taken by me on my trip to the west coast last Easter. I printed it on regular paper, mounted it on two pieces of card stock, then stamped a piece of acetate the same size as the card front with cotton white opaque Stazon, and attached it with brads before gluing the pieces onto the card base. In the past I have had problems designing sympathy cards. But now I use pictures I have taken with my digital camera of scenery, add acetate, and really like the way they turn out.

My newest cards...

I can't believe it has been a month since I last posted! Here are the cards I have made recently. The wedding card uses acetate over the card with a pocket for a gift card that pulls out with the tag. The black and white card also uses acetate.

Scor-Pal Blog Hop

I have signed up for another Blog Hop with my fellow TAC angels. This time everyone is doing something with the scor-pal tool.

I made these three cards with the technique using markers and the scor-pal. I added a twist by going over the back of the lines with the scoring tool so the marker lines are also raised up.
This card uses the TAC stamp Ship Collage(T2027) and gold embossing powder over Versamark ink. The two cards below have no stamping, only decorated paper and paper posies.

Acetate

I just returned from a visit with a dear friend in Washington and my son's family in Portland. I took pictures of breathtaking scenery, thinking some would look great on cards. Here is the card I made to send to my friend who was with me when I took the picture. I used stamps from the sets Flourishes(T2614 p. 70 fall cataog) and Swirly Sayings(a retired Mabelle set), stamped a piece of acetate with Stazon Opaque cotton white, and attached it to the photo with a ribbon before gluing it on to the card.

I also used another photo taken of the same harbor with the gray clouds as a basis for a sympathy card, but that one got sealed in the envelope before I remembered about scanning it. I have to say thank you to Allison whose card was the original inspiration and whose love for all things acetate got me hooked.
