Somewhat inspired...

Merry Christmas everyone!

I have read a number of my fellow angels' posts lately and was inspired to get out paper, ink and stamps. I still had to keep it simple as my studio is such a mess right now that I can't find anything. However I was able to make a couple of simple cards.

This one used paper from the Merry Wishes set and a stamp set whose name I have forgotten, and I am sure has not been available for sometime. The card base is white with 1/4 inch around the printed paper. I did direct to paper black around the edges of the snowman piece. I used markers and colored pencils for the coloring.

Another card did not scan well...it was stamped on white glossy with Stazon midnight blue. I used 4 of the block stamps from Glory to God (another retired set) and stamped one of the Christmas blessings(T2253) inside. Then I rounded the corners. I told you they were simple.

I also made glass ornaments with acetate inside with the poinsettia stamped on it, colored with sharpies, and stickles applied around the edges. Then I made one with Pearl ex inside(lavender and turquoise) and snowflakes stamped with white stazon on the outside. (Allison was my inspiration here.)

Lastly, I used a large stamp set plastic box as gift box of Hershey's nuggets to give to the techs at the radiation center I have been "visiting" daily since mid-November. I cut red cardstock to fit the bottom and stamped the swirl background in white. I used the same swirl stamp with gold ink to cover the mailing labels that I put around 28 of the nuggets. Then I cut a piece of the Vintage Holiday paper-the one with the stripes and vines on it-for the inside of the top. I filled it with a layer of nuggets without labels-bottoms up-and a layer with the gold swirl labels on top. I stuck green curly ribbon and a red bow on the outside corner and it was ready to present. I think the plastic box made it classy! Sadly, I didn't think to take a picture of it...
